Eye Glasses - Cait

New post for Illustrationfriday.com. This week it's eye glasses. My brain is too tired to think up something creative, so I decided to keep it simple.

Man, I love getting paid to do this stuff.

Hey. I thought it's probably time to post some art again. First off, here are some pictures of my piece titled "We must embrace each other to fly." A few pictures of during the process of making it (while it was still in several pieces) and a few of when it was up in the gallery. It was my first piece in an art gallery, and it got a lot of really great feedback. It was the most popular piece in the whole gallery at the time. Very flattering :)

(that is a "google translation" latin for "we are all but angels with one wing")
These next ones are all new (ish) commissions. All watercolors. I've actually been hired to do yet another Snape painting this week, which is totally fine by me. Happily married and I still have a giant crush on Snape.
And now I have five more paintings that I really need to get hauling on, so I'll post more later.

Yes.

So here are a few of the latest creations. A few for fun and a few commissions. The first is a digital painting of my husband. I probably say this a lot, but it's one of my favorite creations. The second is actually a painting from last year, and it was my first ever oil painting. The last is a watercolor commission.

Intention

I found this website; it's rather interesting. I've found that a lack of significant pain in my life directly decreases my motivation for creativity, so it's nice to have an outside source of inspiration. The topic that I made this piece for was "Intention." I hope it got the idea across.

Watercolor!

I
JUST NOW figured out how to paint. At least, how to paint with watercolors quickly and with a bit of personal touch. It previously took me a whole day to finish even a small painting, and they weren't as creative. I'm very much enjoying myself.
